spent the day rolling around the Bushwick Open Studios. Spent the whole weekend rolling around the Bushwick Open Studios. Saw a play in a bathroom. Sat on the tub, while two people got wet and talked in Beckett? Great music on Bushwick Department Of Public Works roof. That was Friday night. Saturday was Cut A Hit Record With Pass Kontrol all day long. And boy, oh boy, did we cut hits. Smooth Tony D Studios was a hit factory. We crammed so many hits up the Top 40. Many people came to record. It was amazingly fun to play with friends and strangers. Recorded over 20 hits. The Music Festival was at night at Goodbye Blue Monday. Eclectic stuff coming out of Bushwick. The New York Howl were really cool rock n' roll. Love Like Deloreans was dude and chick electronic. I liked the way they played synth.
Pass Kontrol played. It was a big blur of AHHHHHHHHH! Rode bike home as the sun was coming up.
Sunday was more rolling around with half of Richard Arms. Started at Duck Duck. Went to 3rd Ward. Checked out stuff in studios on Bogart across from the Archive. Saw amazing Super 8 films at Space Space. Loved the old timey feel of someone working with a projector.
Puerto Rican Pride Day as well today. Reds, Whites and Blues all over. As well as 100 degrees. Fire hydrants shooting water into the street. Music blaring from windows. Maria Hernandez cooking. An amazing weekend to be out and about. Thank you Arts In Bushwick for throwing together such a wonderful weekend.
