walking through China

I flew to Xian-Hong this weekend. Walking through the narrow streets, I picked up a paper and flipped through it. All the titles of the articles were written in English. The text of the all the articles was written in Chinese. I can't read Chinese, but I could see from the title of this particular article, that the Xian-Hong Courier had decided to write a story about us! Fucking mind-blowing, right? Then I went to the local government in Xian-Hong and demanded that I get a copy of this paper written entirely in English. They said "No way. Not going to happen." So I went to the library and painstakingly figured out how to translate the article, with the help of a English<->Chinese dictionary. Then I re-typed it on my Porto-Renfield. I took the translated copy back to the Xian-Hong Courier and politely asked if they would run an English copy for me. They said "Ok, man. We'll do it."

What are the odds that you're wondering through Southern China, and you pick up a random newspaper, and there happens to be an article about your band?! God damn, the big time tastes so sweet.
