It's cold in Berlin. DB and I checked the weather yesterday right before watching the joy division documentary (yes, again. i'm trying to get mikey to watch it with me today. it's so good. like seriously. i watched part of a david bowie documentary the other day, and could only watch about 10 minutes, because it was just some photos of bowie in berlin, while chubby, smug, British nerds sat down on their fat, greasy couches and spouted opinions. That's why the joy divsion doc is so good. Cause everyone interviewed played a central part in the whole story. Plus, the editing and aesthetic is amazing. It's done with so much finesse and class.)
Anyhow, Spence, we miss you. Hope you're staying warm. I still morn the loss of your coal oven. And I hope you're staying warmer than I am.
Today I will record on the my first 4-track. The one I got in Berlin. The one that kicked off my love affair with recording.
