We were part of the Propel-Her Benefit at Galapagos. John Wynn took photos. We were a roving pack of circus performers. Sexo the Clown did projections. The photos speak for themselves.

legion on metropolitan.
Legion has an awesome back room. I am enamored by it. It frames people beautifully. The exposed brick wall kind of looks like stand-up comedy. The red light is funny too. A kid's birthday party? Where all the kids do a talent show at night? But somehow it comes together to be none of the above, and parts of all.
Thinking about the dao. Would like to read it.
Read Zen of Guitar. Sounds corny, but it's awesome for anyone that enjoys playing an instrument/singing/clapping their cheeks/bird beaks.

freakshow
the circus is coming to town. Our whole crew travels through the Wasteland. From Outskirts to Outskirts. We fear little to nothing, but come to put on a show.

the steady cowboy meets the beautiful spaniard
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.

mid-march
where do they all crawl up from, these shows? We've got 4 official ones left for mid-March, and a few unofficial ones as well, that no one will know about, unless they stumble into the Kingdom tomorrow night.
here's a flier.
space
need a space.
need a rehearsal space.
somewhere by the month.
where we can shack up for unlimited hours at a time and make long, breathing sounds.
need a space.
not just an hourly space.
somewhere to lose our head's for hours and hours.
somewhere to go at 3am if we can't sleep.
I've got the Time & Space Blues.

and you didn't think we have soul?
here's a song from our show at Lit last Saturday night. We wrote this one for all the wonderful people in New York.

through my fingers
oh elusive song. i try and try to catch you. again and again. sometimes my greasy mits are just right. sometimes they fumble and stroke too much. and lose you. so many moods overtake me. the stress and strain. the excitement of bringing something new into this world.
it begins with a rhythm. sometimes a chord progression. sometimes with a melody. for me, it's rarely the lyrics. though i saw a sign the other day that read in huge, bold letters:
TAX
DIVORCE
BANKRUPTCY
i'd like to get some song from this.

crazy?
hello? they've said that genius is a mild form of insanity. sometimes we all feel we have stradled that line. snow whips deep into ridgewood and bushwick. thinking o f the c r a z y and the gfted. Oh the pain and thr trtre.
