covering Lady Magma
War has broken out all over the world. Every day is fresh with blood, shrapnel, anguish, and death. Nations fight for money, power, and pride.
Stranded in Hong Kong with his assistant, Captain Durdarian is desperate to find a way to see his lover Lady Magma in Bangkok.
This is Chapter 12 from "The Adventures Of Captain Durdarian".

a storm is predicted for 10am
Michael Jackson has passed. I am sad. I understand that everyone dies. However, I am still sad. He performed with a joy that came deep from within himself.
Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough is one of my favorite songs to dance to.

the good stuff.
hello. triple-radness. the rain pours. we're indoors. went running outside. best run of the summer so far. yesterday we completely re-did a trashed, overgrown garden. great pride swells in my heart.
and this video is the shit.
pass kontrol played Pete's Candy Store last night. It's such an awesome venue. no expensive sound system. just great acoustics. great craftsmanship in architecture. tonight is duck duck. what will the evening bring? patience or mania? there's a drink called the "dirty sanchez" which is made partly with spicy tequila.

I think this flier is so cool. i love the design. it feels like you're in an old school video game. this flier is for the show that sky report radio is hosting outside of northeast kingdom for make music new york this Sunday. June 21.

corrections, officer?
Made a small correction to our June Tokyo Tour '81 flier. Looking forward to next weekend. It'll be a marathon.
Saw Lady Magma last night at Legion. Man, that backroom is awesome for shows. Loud or quiet, it doesn't matter. There's something so intimate and cool about it.
Today we are recording group vocals.

hip hop?
They're doing it right in Hungary. It's extremely hard to debate that. They're onto something over there. The streets are calling out. Rhymes, beats, truth.
Check it out: Seriously: It's awesome:
ps. Northside festival is today, tomorrow and Sunday in Williamsburg and Greenpoint. There's lots of music to see. Lots of local bands to check out. I'm going to see something tonight, though not sure what. www.northsidefestival.com

bushwick open studios
the bushwick open studios were a blast. so much great stuff to see. it was fun to venture into different studios, and see people's set ups. and wonder how the hell some people have such amazing, huge, sun-drenched spaces.
we played two shows. both were incredibly fun. the first show was saturday night at 567 Onderdonk. Packed in an apartment. the second show was two sets at a new gallery called Eastern District that's right off the Morgan L stop.
Man, folks were going crazy for that one. By the end, my shirt was off, and my pants were down at my ankles. This was at the end of "the Hot Potato".
I love playing in Galleries. I want to do that more often.

Bushwick Action News!
We made this video yesterday, in about an hour and a half. You can tell the production value is very, very high. Top of the line camera. Union actors. Many, many producers on set. Shot at Silercup Studios in Long Island City.
