Make Music New York video

I guess today is a day of videos. Also a very exciting time for Pass Kontrol. We've been invited to display a bunch of our fliers in an art show in Tokyo, that our friend Lauren is curating. I can't tell you how excited I am about this. And some local dancers/choreographers are using some of our music for a ballet performance at the Bushwick Starr. Man, I feel good. Summer is wrapping up so nicely.

This is a video shot by the Sky Report at a show they put together for Make Music New York. We are playing "Freakshow" and "Bucharest".

Birmingham Dunlop - the future

Max directed this. It stars a bunch of folks from Lady Magma and Pass Kontrol, and folks from around Blue Wolf Studios and such.

The film takes place in New York City in 2015. Shot on a digi-camera that is 6 or 8 years old, using the black and white function. The graininess works really well.

drum machine

I was on an airplane across the ocean. Sitting in coach, but I had two seats to myself. I paid for both seats. Could have sat in 1st Class, but naw... that's not how I roll.

Pulled out my drum machine. Everyone else was sleeping. I clipped the little light on, and starting composing a hit. I knew it was a hit. I could feel it.

The flight attendant walked up to me with a Coors light, and a glass, and put it on my small trey, next to my drum machine. Condensation from the beer started getting on my drum machine. This frustrated me, so I stared at the flight attendant. She smiled, and poured the Coors Light into my glass. Then she walked away.

I flipped the "Cease" switch on my drum machine, got up, and walked to first class. There was my main squeeze, relaxing with cucumbers on her eyes. I leaned over, and whispered in her ear "Damn. You're like, fine and relaxed." She smiled and said "I hope you enjoyed your beer. Are you drunk?" I said "You know it girl. Drunk on love. With you. So drunk, drunker than a guy that just pounded a liter of Courvoisier."

I kissed her on the lips, walked back to my seat in Coach, and wrote "That Nasty Shit", which shot straight to #14 on the Certified Gold Charts. I made 45 million Credits with that song.
